              Refugees

              Some 14 million people are refugees worldwide.  More than 8.5 million refugees have spent 10 years or more "warehoused" in camps or segregated settlements.  Another 26 million are internally displace within their own country  - Church World Service .org

              There is something we all can do - we can pray for these displaced people.  Many are Christians being driven out of their country because of their beliefs.

              Orissa: insecurity and hatred await Christians forced out of refugee camps

              Bhubaneshwar (AsiaNews) – There is no sign that the long journey of suffering by Orissa’s Christian community is anywhere near its end. The government has decided to shut down refugee camps and force Christians to leave but no one is providing them with any guarantee as to their security against further violence once back home; instead, they are still the object of hatred and rejection.
