Health and Wellness Fair comes to Canastota

Save the Date! The Canastota Health and Wellness Fair:A Community Celebration! You are invited to participate in our "Health and Wellness Fair: A Community Celebration" on Thursday, March 15, 2012.The celebration will be held in the Vincent V. Albanese Educational Center from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Student projects will be displayed to highlight the wonderful instruction we offer to our students.
This year's Fair happens to fall on St. Patrick's Day, so you can expect to see this theme carried over into the event. Along with our students' Project Night, the Rube Goldberg Physics project presentations, and a Taste of Canastota, we are once again inviting area businesses and organizations in order to showcase their talents and services they offer to our community.
The "Health and Wellness Fair: A Community Celebration" will be sponsored by our K-12 Health/Wellness and Community Celebration Committees.
During the past 16 years, the Canastota School District has greatly increased its efforts in promoting good health, fitness, and well-being. The Health and Wellness Fair has been a very popular event in the past and has expanded to include the community. The purpose of this event is to display our students' academic achievements and to provide information to parents/community members about local health organizations and businesses. This family centered occasion is an attempt to increase parent and community involvement with our District. We believe if parents and community members become more involved in our children's education and with the school community, children will become more engaged in their instruction, thus increasing learning and achievement.
